While the minor mother is unaware of the fact that she has delivered the baby, her parents have refused to even see the newborn. After the baby is discharged, she will be kept at the state adoption agency. A period of two months will be the time given to the family to reconsider their decision to surrender the baby just in case they want to. The girl's parents are undergoing counselling sessions. After the expiry of the two months, details will be uploaded on the website of the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA).

The victim was raped for months by her maternal uncle. It was during the advance stages of pregnancy that the girl complained of stomach pain which is when her pregnancy was detected. Doctors went in for Caesarean section as the girl was too small to undergo a normal delivery. The minor mother was informed that she was operated for stone in her stomach. The plea by the family for abortion was turned by the Supreme court after the report of the medical board warned of the high risk.
