PCS RELEASES GURLEEN’s BOOK ‘Roohdaari’ IN CHICAGO

A new book of Punjab’s famous poetess Ms Gurleen has been released in Chicago. The book titles ROOHDARI was released at the Punjabi Cultural Society’s 25th Anniversary Banquet Dinner.

Chicago’s famous cultural personality Miss Nikki Shekhon released the book by cutting book’s cover ribbon. She was accompanied by Chairman Punjabi Cultural Society Mr Bhupinder Singh Dhaliwal.

Indian immigrant community’s who’s who was present during the book release. These included: Rajinderbir  Mago, Chairman, Sikh American Organization;  Amardev Singh, Principal, SRS Sikh School; Surinder Singh Palia, Ex-President Punjabi Cultural Society; Onkar Singh Sangha, Founder Federation of Indian Association; Jatinder Singh Bedi, Director, India Development Service; Navdeep Kaur Sandhu, Past Chairperson Punjabi Cultural Society; Paramjit Kaur Saini, and Gia Kaur.

At the function, Ms Nikkin Shekhon read out the excerpts from the just-released book Roohdari. She correlated several poems to the day-t-day experiences as well as to those of writer Gurleen’s personal life. The book was presented to several prominent amongst the audience.

Writer Gurleen is a well known figure in Punjab, India. She is famous as an actress and for her stage performance. She is a sought-after anchor and program coordinator.
