NGOs Form India Philanthropy Alliance

11 of the US-based not-for-profit organizations have joined hands to form the India Philanthropy Alliance which shall aim to enhance collaboration to augument India’s development, a press release said.

 

The organizations are: Akanksha Fund, American India Foundation, Arogya World, CRY America, Dasra, Ekal USA, Foundation for Excellence, Indiaspora, Magic Bus USA, Pratham USA, and VisionSpring.

 

These entities collectively raise $125 million annually in donations, including more than USD 50 million in the United States, the release said.

 

Together, these 11 organizations have cumulatively impacted millions of people with their programs spanning education, health care, livelihood support, and other essential services.

 

The formation of the alliance was announced during the Indiaspora Philanthropy Summit held on the first day of ChaloGive, a week celebrating Indian diaspora philanthropy.
