WASHINGTON DC – A one-day exhibition on the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi was held at the Library of Congress on 02 October 2019 as part of the ongoing celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. India’s US Embassy organized a commemorative event on 02 October 2019.
Speaker of the US House, Nancy Pelosi was the Guest of Honor. India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and Speaker Pelosi addressed the gathering.
Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar offered floral tributes at the Statue of Mahatma Gandhi in front of the India Embassy in US. He briefly interacted with the NRIs at the event.
