The Tibetans-in-exile living in various parts of the country have lost their livelihood.
A large number of Tibetans are involved in trading of various items. Many are in the business of selling sweaters in the hills. However, their business was dependent on tourism which has been hit hard.
The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), that manages the affairs of Tibetans, now proposes to provide interest-free loans to sweater sellers of their community living in green zones. A spokesperson of the CTA said they were floating a scheme to provide interest-free loan to Tibetan vendors engaged in sweater selling business.
‘Release Panchen Lama’

“We proudly acknowledge and thank the Tibetan Non-Governmental Organisations and the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery for continuously undertaking various initiatives to ensure the release of the 11th Panchen Lama”, the Kashag said.
