Vikash Shahal Takes Over As Manager Midwest of Air India
Malini Vaidhyanathan Posted Out

Mr Vikash Shahal has been appointed the new Manager Midwest of Air India at Chicago. His 3-Year tenure is nearing completion in next 6 months.

Current incumbent Ms Malini Vaidhyanathan has been posted out. On completion of her 3-Year tenure, Ms Malini Vaidhyanathan has been transferred to New Delhi.

Malini Vaidyanathan has been the Queen of Corona Extradition Flights. During her Chicago tenure exceptionally apt managing of the extradition flights has been a feather in her cap. Such was her approach that all the flights went 100 percent full. No seat went unoccupied in any of the flights. In contrast New York, Washington flights routinely and repeatedly went less than half filled.

While the Corona onslaught continues unabated, Malini Vaidyanathan ensured that no passenger is denied a seat, no matter which jurisdiction he came from. It needs a mention that the inaugural Air India Extradition Flight, of 11 May 2020, witnessed the smoothest no-knot check-in process. The calmness that I witnessed that day at the Air India Check-in Counters was in contrast with the chaotic experience that the O'Hare International Airport is famous for.
