Bollywood movies are incomplete without an intimate scene. But there are some romantic stories without even a kiss scene. Why? Well, apart from the fact that some storylines don’t really demand a lip lock, some actors do not approve of kissing their co-actors.

Salman Khan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan scorched the screen with their crackling chemistry in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The film had a kissing scene between Aishwarya and Ranbir but the former Miss Universe refused to go for it. Reports claimed that Aishwarya was too uncomfortable to film the kissing scene and asked the director to tone it down.

Fawad Khan

Fawad Khan refused to go ahead with a lip lock scene with Alia Bhatt in ‘Kapoor and Sons’, despite the smooch being a part of the script. However, the hunk settled for a cheat kiss. When they did the scene, every time Alia would go near his face, he would flinch. But finally, they managed to get the cheat shot done.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

When Kareena Kapoor wed Saif Ali Khan in 2013, she refrained from kissing and doing bedroom scenes in her films. She apparently refused to brush lips with co-star Ajay Devgn in ‘Satyagraha’ during a romantic song sequence. Besides being a newlywed, reports also stated that she had reservations about kissing her husband’s good friend.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra refused to do a passionate scene with co-star Annu Kapoor, who plays one of her seven husbands in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’. She refused to shoot the scene with him because “it was simply out of sheer respect for Annu’s age, seniority and work,” as a source put it.
