Oak Brookers Rejoice Suresh Reddy’s Victory Over A Dosa Party

OAK BROOK – Defying the Corona scare, Oak Brook residents flocked to Suresh Reddy’s Dosa Party where he and his wife Leela Reddy thanked the residents and supporters for electing him Village’s Trustee. Jim Nagle who also won as Oak Brook’s Trustee was present. Also present was Trustee Asif Yusuf.

It was a ‘come-one-come-all’ affair where Suresh Reddy’s supporters from much beyond Oak Brook joined. Dr Naveed Musharraf came cycling; Dr Gopal Lalmalani came walking. Hosted in the backyards of Mr Nitin Shah’s residence, the party attracted congratulatory speeches too.

Speaking at the occasion, Suresh Reddy thanks the residents for entrusting in him the responsibility of leading the Oak Brook Village to new heights. He assured the residents that despite being a new face on the scene, he will leave no stone unturned towards the betterment of Oak Brook. Suresh Reddy made a special mention of Ms Neelam Dwivedi at whose house, the idea of his candidature received the first ray of support. He also thanks Dr Gopal Lalmalani for the critical support that led to his victory. Dr Suresh made an emphatic mention of the outgoing Trustee Moin Saiyed on whose vacancy, Dr Suresh Reddy contested.

Acknowledging his thanks, long-time village resident Mr Raju Iyer called upon Suresh Reddy and other newly elected candidates to pick up the thread and complete the undone tasks. There is much left to be done, and the new team must start to show results earlies possible, Mr Raju Iyer said.

In a later interaction, Prominent Telugu leader and Chicago’s top insurance professional Mr Krishna Rangaraju described Dr Suresh Reddy’s victory as “much needed.” Suresh is a very supportive person, he added.

Telugus’ towering leader Mr Hanmanth Reddy, Mr Shankar Pillai, IAMA President Suneela Harsoor, Prominent Telugu Leader Krishna Rangaraju, Former IAMA President Srinivasa Reddy, Hina Trivedi, and Keerthi Ravoori were amongst those who attended. Also present was Dr Suresh Reddy’s son Rohun.

Present Mayor of Oak Brook Dr Gopal Lalmalani and Trustee Mr Moin Saiyed of Oak Brook have been strongly supporting Dr Reddy and had endorsed his candidacy.

Hyderabad-raised Dr Suresh Reddy completed his advanced medical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre of the Harvard Medical School. He has been on Harvard Faculty for over a decade. There he also served as Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology. Dr Suresh Reddy has been a former President of the AAPI.

Prominent Telugu leader and Chicago’s top insurance professional Mr Krishna Rangaraju described Dr Suresh Reddy’s victory as “much needed.” Suresh is a very supportive person, he added.

Dr Suresh Reddy and family recently moved to Oak Brook that he now calls his home. “Now that I call Oak Brook my home, I would like to contribute and serve my community by participating in public service,” says Dr Reddy.

As part of his community service, Dr Reddy has facilitated and organized numerous health camps and workshops, with special emphasis on CPR training and obesity prevention with support of Chicago Medical Society.

Having a population of nearly 10,000 people, Oak Brook is located 15 miles West of Chicago. Its served by a network of major Federal, State, and County roads including the Tri-State Tollway system, the East-West Tollway and the Eisenhower Expressway. One of the affluent communities, Oakbrook’s adjacent neighbours include Villa Park, Elmhurst, Lombard, Oakbrook Terrace, Westchester, Westmont, Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove, and Hinsdale.

Dr Suresh Reddy is married to Leela, who was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, She has a Master’s Degree in Health Management and Policy. Prior to moving to Chicago, Leela was the Director of Network Health Boston, a HMO Health Plan in Boston. Their son, Rohun, is currently doing his JD/MBA at Kellogg School of Management /Pritzker School of Law at Northwestern University.
