Meghalaya Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh recognised the merger of 12 Congress MLAs with Trinamool Congress (TMC).
"I'm satisfied...the merger of 12 members of INC is valid as provided under paragraph 4 of the 10th Schedule to the Constitution...doesn't attract disqualification," Lyngdoh said.
This comes a month after former Meghalaya CM Mukul Sangma, along with 11 Congress MLAs, joined TMC.
