The RBI on Thursday retained its estimate for retail inflation, which is measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), for 2021-22 at 5.3% and projected inflation for 2022-23 at 4.5%.
The RBI expects retail inflation to be at 4.9% in the first quarter of 2022-23, 5% in the second, 4% in the third and 4.2% in the fourth.
