AAP wins Delhi civic polls after crossing halfway mark, ends BJP's 15-year rule

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections after winning 126 seats and crossing the halfway mark required to take charge of the civic body.

The party is currently leading on eight more seats while the BJP has won 97 seats and is leading on six others.

AAP's victory ended BJP's 15-year MCD rule.
