Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said the country wants to end the war in Ukraine.
"We will strive for an end to this, and the sooner the better, of course," he added.
Putin made the comments a day after US President Joe Biden hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House and promised him continued and unwavering support.
