1.27 lakh people visited Kashmir in Nov, highest in 7yrs: Official

Around 1.27 lakh tourists visited Kashmir in November and almost 97,000 visited in October, which is the highest in the last seven years, Kashmir Tourism Director Ghulam Nabi Itoo said on Thursday.

He added that "vigorous tourism promotions and iconic festivals created the buzz".

A Jammu University professor said that this shows the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir government.
