Amandeep won Gold Medal in 72nd All India Railway Boxing Championship

Ferozepur, September 22, 2017:  In the recently concluded 72nd All India Railway Boxing Championship Gauhati (Assam) between 15-18 September 22, 2017, two employees of Ferozepur Rail Divison won Gold and Bronze medals.

Both claim to win Gold Medal in Olympics 2020

In all, around 200 railway employees from 13 Railway Zones in the boxing championship.  While Amandeep Singh won Gold, Kuldip Singh bagged Bronze Medal and highlighted the name of Ferozepur Rail Divison.

Speaking to the media persons, the boxers said, they had a dream to won Gold Medal in Olympics 2020 to be held in Tokyo in Japan.

Amandeep belongs Sangrur won Gold Medal of 56 kg category final defeating his rival Bal Krishan of Southern Railway.  This is the eight time when gold medal has been won in championsnip. Earlier, he had won Silver Medal in New Delhi in 2010.

Similarly, Kuldip Singh belongs to Patiala and has won 90 Kg group with Bronze medal and has won seven times continuously gold medal.  In Asian Championship 2011, he won Bronze medal and continuously three times gold medal in National championship. 

Vivek Kumar, DRM and Monu Luthra, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Vagish Tiwari, Senior Divisional Financial Manager congratulating the winners wished for their bright future to continue to bring laurels for Ferozepur Division.
